The parties were hot, the men (clearly) hot, the weather was extremely hot - in fact it was so hot one afternoon that I actually raised burn blisters on the soles of my feet for taking my thongs off too far away from the edge of the pool and crossing over the 3 feet of brick pavers barefoot!

Thank goodness for all my training in Mali over the past two years!
